Pickup is 7:00 a.m. at your Paris hotel or apartment (flexible — later starts possible, earlier summer starts see more). The three-hour drive is part of the tour: your guide builds the historical context on the way, so you arrive at the first site already oriented. From there the day is genuinely yours — military historians linger at the German fortifications, families head straight for a grandfather’s sector, and the guide reorders stops around what you care about.

The flexibility works on weather too: if morning fog sits on Pointe du Hoc, your guide reverses the route and returns when it lifts; if rain is coming, the cemetery moves earlier. Group tours run their schedule regardless — a private day runs yours. What about groups larger than six?

Can we extend overnight?
